Overall, To Keep In Mind:
In our time together, we will be addressing and practicing mindfulness techniques that may include increased awareness of the body, breathing, thoughts, emotions, compassion for others, self-compassion, and other heart-focused practices. Different anchors/focus points may be used.
Any of these techniques may trigger strong emotions, Trauma-related experiences or memories, and body sensations.
Topics around religion, spirituality, and human society may come up.
The teacher may ask you to not discuss triggering or emotional situations in detail.
The instructor will offer DEIA-informed and trauma-informed practices and resources, but the instructor is NOT a licensed medical practitioner, therapist, or psychologist.
And, these classes are not group therapy or a replacement for medical treatment.
Please be aware that mindfulness meditation may make you a more sensitive and open human being. Please consider all that could entail for you!
